Early on in life, he developed his love for westerns. He fondly remembers watch “Gunsmoke” and “Bonanza” with his grandfather. He could empathize with Little Joe in dealing with all of that curly hair. From these early days, he found his calling as a writer of western novels. Duane grew up on a farm just outside of Petersburg, Illinois. All that time spent driving a tractor gave him plenty of time to allow his imagination to run wild and not tear up too much equipment. Besides a love of westerns, the two passions he acquired were the love of reading books and playing guitar. For a number of years he worked as an IT consultant and kept being a songwriter and part time musician. He dabbled in writing short fiction with the idea in the back of his mind that he’d write a novel someday. He was. Duane Boehm is the author of over 32 books across 6 series.
