Victorine E. Lieske was born in a small town in Nebraska in 1972. Her parents who were huge fans of genealogy named her after Victorine DeVilbis, her ancestor. Growing up, her parents loved to call her Vicki, which usually changed to Victorine Elizabeth whenever she was in trouble. This is how she came to dislike her full name and it was only until she was older and realized its uniqueness that she appreciated it. She went to Ricks College in Idaho to study Art and got married to Charles her husband in 1995. Lieske published her debut novel “The Overtaking” in 2011 and has never looked back since. She now has more than two dozen novels and several novellas to her name.
