About Vicky Alvear Shecter

Her lifelong fascination with ancient history led to her first writing credit when she co-wrote the adult book called “Alexander the Fabulous: The Man Who Brought the World to Its Knees”. As a docent for the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Antiquities at Emory University, she delights in sharing her fascination and passion with the ancient world with talks and tours about the museum’s world renown ancient Roman, Greek, and Egyptian galleries. While writing for adults, she focuses on the deeply superstitious and complex lives of people that lived back in ancient times. Coming up with ideas for her novels happens in all sorts of ways.
