Vaclav Smil is a former Distinguished Professor of the University Of Manitoba Winnipeg Faculty Of Environment. Smil went to the Carolinum University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences and then the Pennsylvania State University’s College of Earth and Mineral Sciences for his graduate studies. He is a man of very many research interests that include economic, energy, population, environmental, food, public policy, and historical policy studies.
