He currently lives in Alabama and is married, to his wife, Karen. Together they have a daughter. He is called ‘Doc Taylor’ by his friends and went the long way to get that nickname. He possesses a doctorate in the field of optical science and engineering. On top of that he has earned a Master’s degree in the subject of physics as well as in aerospace engineering that he received while attending the University of Alabama located in Huntsville. Taylor also attended the University of Western Sydney to get his Master’s degree in the subject of astronomy.
