Torey Hayden born on 21st May 1951 is a university lecturer, special education teacher, and author of non-fiction books. Most of her published books are based on her real-life encounters while teaching, counselling and tending to children with special needs. Based in Livingston, Montana in the United States, Torey Hayden writes her books based on the following themes; Tourette Syndrome, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, sexual abuse, and selective mutism. During her early life, she attended a high school in Billings, Montana and graduate in 1969. Later, she joined Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington.
