Sue Fineman

Sue Fineman is an American author from Washington State who has made a name for herself writing a series of popular suspense romance novels. Her novels may also be sub classified as light paranormal romances, and women’s fiction. She loves to create characters then put them in a situation in which they have to make their own decisions, essentially writing themselves, their character and aptitudes.

The best place to start is the Donatelli series, the earliest of Sue Fineman's multi-book series: it opens with Maxine (2011) and runs to 5 books across 2011, ending with The Inn at Dead Man's Point (2011). Sue Fineman's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Sue Fineman has 55 books catalogued in this guide, published between 2011 and 2025. 49 of them belong to 10 named series — the largest being the Ghosts of River Oaks series with 10 books — and 6 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. Sue Fineman's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are Donatelli (2011, 5 books), The Gregory (2011, 4 books) and Martinson Ranch (2011, 3 books), plus 7 more.

This guide splits Sue Fineman's 55 books into 10 named series and 6 titles that stand alone or appear only in collections: Ghosts of River Oaks (10 books, 2014–2017); Beaver Bend (6 books, 2018–2020); Donatelli (5 books, 2011); Kane Family Ghosts (5 books, 2012); MacKendrick Wives (5 books, 2014), plus 5 further series.
