In September 2001, he joined the Press Complaints Commission as a complaints officer, completing other roles at the PCC including assistant director and deputy director, and press officer before he was appointed Director of the PCC on December 19, 2010. Stig loves detective novels above any other type of literature, plays, films, or TV. Away from books, he presents a breakfast show on Times Radio, a station that he helped launch back in 2020. Before this, he was a regular presenter on Radio 4’s Front Row and edited and published the Times Literary Supplement from 2016 to 2020. From 2013 to 2016, he was managing editor of The Sun. At one point or another he has written for just about every single newspaper in Britain as well as a couple in America, too.
