Author Steve McHugh was born in Mexborough, South Yorkshire (which is a little village). Steve started writing when he was very young. The first story that he ever finished writing was violent and had bad language. It was part of an English lesson and after his teacher read it, he had to talk to the head of the year about it. The next story he would write got him an A, it was much less violent and had better language. A decade later, he would start writing full length novels. He writes the “Hellequin Chronicles” series, it is Urban Fantasy that is set in modern day London. The first of these books (which is called “Crimes Against Magic”) which was released in the year 2012. This was also his debut novel.
