About Stephen Chbosky

When Stephen was a teen, he enjoyed a good blend of horror, the classics, and fantasy. He was influenced by the writing of Tennessee Williams and F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well as “The Catcher in the Rye” by J. D. Salinger. He graduated in the year 1988 from Upper St. Clair High School, and it was around this time he met Stewart Stern, the writer of “Rebel Without a Cause” movie released in 1955. He proved to be a major influence on Chbosky’s career, after becoming a good friend and a mentor. In the year 1992, he graduated from the University of Southern California’s screenwriting program. During the late nineties, he wrote several unproduced screenplays, these include titles such as “Schoolhouse Rock” and “Audrey Hepburn’s Neck”. Rising to prominence with the Publication Order of Standalone Novels series, Stephen Chbosky has since expanded their repertoire to include numerous successful works across various genres. Their writing style, characterized by compelling narratives and memorable characters, has earned them a dedicated global readership with millions of fans worldwide.
