ⓘ About Sadhguru

Jaggi showed an inclination toward nature during his young years. He spent time trekking around forests alone while he was just a child and developed an interest in snakes, and often kept some as pets. At the age of thirteen, he took yoga lessons from Malladihalli Raghavendra, and kept practicing pranayama and asanas daily through his youth, albeit without any spiritual aspirations of any kind. At the age of 25 on September 23, 1982, he went up Chamundi Hill and he sat on a rock, where he had a ‘spiritual experience’. Six weeks later, he left his business to his friend and traveled around extensively in an effort to gain some insight into his own mystical experience.
