Ray Garton

Ray Garton is an American published author. It is the pen name used by Joseph Locke. Born in Redding, California, on December 2, 1962, Ray writes novels that fall into a number of genres.

The best place to start is the Macabre Ink Resurrected Horrors series, the earliest of Ray Garton's multi-book series: it opens with The Cats (1977) and runs to 18 books across 1977–2020, ending with Night Visions (2020). Ray Garton's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Ray Garton has 289 books catalogued in this guide, published between 1977 and 2024. 206 of them belong to 10 named series — the largest being the Sabrina The Teenage Witch series with 60 books — and 83 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. Ray Garton's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are Macabre Ink Resurrected Horrors (1977–2020, 18 books), Davey Owen (1987–2005, 2 books) and Ed & Lorraine Warren (1988–2014, 6 books), plus 5 more.
