Rachel Lee

A string of occupations go along with her travels. Like acting as a security specialist to the US Department of Defense, selling houses right on the tops of mountains, working as an optician, and programming computers, as well as other things. But it would seem that she was just gathering experiences for writing, which is her true calling.

The best place to start is the Conard County series, the earliest of Rachel Lee's multi-book series: it opens with Exile's End (1992) and runs to 16 books across 1992–2008, ending with A Soldier's Homecoming (2008). Rachel Lee's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Rachel Lee has 357 books catalogued in this guide, published between 1983 and 2026. 325 of them belong to 15 named series — the largest being the Conard County: The Next Generation series with 60 books — and 32 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. Rachel Lee's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are Conard County (1992–2008, 16 books), Months Trilogy (2000–2002, 3 books) and Lost Continent (2003–2008, 6 books), plus 6 more.

This guide splits Rachel Lee's 357 books into 15 named series and 32 titles that stand alone or appear only in collections: Conard County: The Next Generation (60 books, 2009–2026); Conard County (16 books, 1992–2008); Montana Mavericks: 20 Years in the Saddle (7 books, 2014); Lost Continent (6 books, 2003–2008); The Claiming (4 books, 2011–2013), plus 10 further series.
