R.C Sherriff was an English author popularly known for his play Journey’s End. He was famous for his play Journey’s End, based on his experiences as an army officer during World War 1. He was nominated for an Academy Award for being the best adapted screenplay by and British film and television arts academy. In 1955, his screenplays The Night My Number Came Up, and The Dam Busters were nominated for Best British Screenplay BAFTA awards.
