ⓘ About P. Djeli Clark
He was born November 6, 1971 in Queens, New York. He has lived in Staten Island, Brooklyn, the Caribbean, and Texas. He grew up mostly in Houston, Texas, and spent the early formative years in his parents’ homeland, Tobago and Trinidad. When he was really young, he first tried his hand at writing. He would always be writing stories here and there, either for his sister, his friends, or himself. It wasn’t until much later that he started believing he could take it even farther. His first forays were into secondary world fantasy. The whole time, however, he was always fascinated by alternate history. It is how he always thought about genres like steampunk. It didn’t take much for him to merge the together.
