Mons Kallentoft is a Swedish author of fiction. He was born April 15, 1968, in Linkoping, Sweden. He says that he may have been born to be a storyteller because literature was not the first thing that he pursued in life. He grew up in a home located in a provincial town and his parents were working class. Instead of reading as books were rare in his home, Kallentoft would play football and ice hockey. He was awarded a prestigious Swedish award for his first novel Pesetas. that is when he decided to try and take on the Scandinavian crime novel genre with his own unique twist. The result was the Malin Fors series and its first book saw immediate success, received huge praise from national critics, did well on the bestselling lists and has sold over 300,000 copies in just Sweden.
