Marilyn Clay is an American author that writes romance novels set in the Regency era. Before she turned to fiction, Marilyn ran a newsletter dedicated to the exploration of the Regency Era. Despite her passion for the written word, Marilyn initially set out to pursue art and design. The author studied Art and English in college, and after graduating, she became a commercial artist. For a few years, the author operated her own graphics design studios. She started out small, designing book covers and illustrating textbooks. Over time, as her abilities and her reputation grew, she was afforded the opportunity to undertake more ambitious projects.
