M.J. Trow is an author and lecturer. His full name is Meirion James Trow. Trow was born in Wales. He is not only a writer but a teacher of history full time. He has been splitting his time between that and crime fiction for years. He originally was from Ferndale, Rhondda, but has since moved. He now resides on the Isle of Wight with his wife. He has a few interests that include film, collecting military relics, supernatural things, and of course, true crime. He has composed over two dozen fictional novels during the course of his career. M.J. Trow is the creator and the author of the Lestrade series. This series of fiction kicked off for the first time in 1985, which is when the debut novel was released. The sequel came out shortly after and Trow wrote several novels in the series.
