Lucy Daniels

Lucy Daniels is one of the highly reputed authors from America, who is famous for writing books based on the genre of children's books. The name is in fact the pen name used by author Ben M. Baglio for writing a section of his children's book series.

The best place to start is the Animal Ark series, the earliest of Lucy Daniels's multi-book series: it opens with Kittens in the Kitchen (1994) and runs to 61 books across 1994–2003, ending with Labrador on the Lawn (2003). Lucy Daniels's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Lucy Daniels has 185 books catalogued in this guide, published between 1994 and 2020. 184 of them belong to 15 named series — the largest being the Animal Ark series with 61 books — and 1 is a standalone title, collection or anthology.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. Lucy Daniels's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are Animal Ark (1994–2003, 61 books), Animal Ark Holiday Special (1995–2007, 18 books) and Animal Ark Pets (1996–2000, 22 books), plus 12 more.

This guide splits Lucy Daniels's 185 books into 15 named series and 1 title that stands alone or appear only in collections: Animal Ark (61 books, 1994–2003); Animal Ark Pets (22 books, 1996–2000); Animal Ark Holiday Special (18 books, 1995–2007); Little Animal Ark (14 books, 2001–2009); New Animal Ark (12 books, 2018–2020), plus 10 further series.
