About Judith Rossner

Judith Rossner was a successful published novelist. She was born in New York City on March 31, 1935. She passed away on August 9, 2005. She was perhaps best known in the literary world for the novel Looking for Mr. Goodbar. The 1975 novel was inspired by the real life murder of Roseann Quinn, while also tackling the underside of the sexual liberation movement in the seventies. The book remained her best known work as well as her best selling, but despite this, Rossner continued to think of and write more stories. The most successful novel that she had after Mr. Goodbar was August, which was all about the relationship that exists between a young woman with her share of troubles and then her psychoanalyst, who if possible has more emotional troubles than her client. Rising to prominence with the Publication Order of Standalone Novels series, Judith Rossner has since expanded their repertoire to include numerous successful works across various genres. Their writing style, characterized by compelling narratives and memorable characters, has earned them a dedicated global readership with millions of fans worldwide.
