Joan Medlicott is an American author of fictional novels. Medlicott was born in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands on January 1, 1932. She resides in Barnardsville, North Carolina, along with her husband. In North Carolina, she spends her time writing and spending time with her spouse as well as conducting her Tea on the Porch workshops. She says that on average she can write a novel a year at this time. She is the author of the Ladies of Covington series. The series started in 2001 with the publication of the first novel, which she says took her two years to write. That was quickly followed up by the sequel The Gardens of Covington and several other fictional novels that totaled up to eight or eight and a half if you consider the short addition of A Blue and Gray Christmas after the release. Joan Medlicott is the author of over 17 books across 3 series. Their most famous work is the Publication Order of Ladies Of Covington Books series, which has garnered millions of readers worldwide. With such a prolific career, Joan Medlicott has established themselves as one of the most influential authors in contemporary fiction.
