This is a made up account of a young girl in her teens and the last months of her life as she dies from leukemia. She has been suffering with leukemia for the past four years. The story is related to the reader in the first person and focuses on the nature of being alive. The book did well and made the short list for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize in 2007.
