During her college life, she had to spent half a year working in a samll bookstore in London; it is during this time that she made the decision of becoming a professional author and novelist. Her writing career officially started as she was working at a local college after she had returned to the US from London. The money she earned provided her a steady income and enabled her to travel wide; her traveling landed her in Finland and as far as Egypt. Her current homestead is in western Michigan, here she is a member of the most aged Mardi Gras Krewe in their sate. Her rise to fame and success cam. Jacqueline Carey is the author of over 28 books across 11 series.
