J.S. Morin

He loved exploring the worlds of other people, from Hyrule to Shadowdale. He rapidly found Dungeons and Dragons to be a creative outlet for characters, stories, and new worlds of his own creation. Much of his writing background comes from years of world-building practice with RPGs, an imagination that will not be quiet, and read the sorts of books he enjoys writing.

The best place to start is the Twinborn Chronicles series, the earliest of J.S. Morin's multi-book series: it opens with Firehurler (2013) and runs to 9 books across 2013–2015, ending with Between the Worlds (2015). J.S. Morin's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

J.S. Morin has 117 books catalogued in this guide, published between 2013 and 2026. 112 of them belong to 11 named series — the largest being the Black Ocean series with 23 books — and 5 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. J.S. Morin's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are Twinborn Chronicles (2013–2015, 9 books), Sins Of Angels (2013–2015, 5 books) and Black Ocean (2014–2017, 23 books), plus 8 more.

This guide splits J.S. Morin's 117 books into 11 named series and 5 titles that stand alone or appear only in collections: Black Ocean (23 books, 2014–2017); Black Ocean: Mirth & Mayhem (18 books, 2021–2023); Black Ocean: Passage of Time (18 books, 2023–2025); Black Ocean: Mercy For Hire (16 books, 2018–2020); Black Ocean: Astral Prime (12 books, 2018–2019), plus 6 further series.
