J. M. (Joseph) Lee J.M. (Joseph) Lee was born in the chilly cold northern climes of Minnesota. His young years were spent searching for animals who could talk and be believed he could control the weather. In college he indulged his nerdier interests with studies in comparative film studies, learning the art of screenwriting, and studying the Bard- William Shakespeare. He did end up graduating from the University of Minnesota with, what some might think, a more substantial and even nerdier degree in linguistics, focusing on Japanese phonology. When not writing his successful novels, he spends extra time teaching his dog new vocabulary words. Smart dog! Mr. Lee shares the fact that he is a prolific coffee drinker.
