About J.E. Rowney

She’s an award winning poet, and also likes writing short stories. She won the 2020 Pen to Print Short Story award, and the Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction. When Ms. Rowney’s not busy writing, she enjoys walking by the sea, and reading a wide range of books. She’d always dreamed of becoming a writer, until she realized that she was, then she began writing. This began when she was commuting from Leeds to London during her previous life as a change management specialist. One of the best ways she’s found to deal with writer’s block is to move away from what she’s trying to write, and attempt writing something else instead. If she’s in the middle of some novel and find she’s getting “stuck”, she’ll write poetry or a short, or possibly even just write down some notes in her journal. So
