The university then decided it was time for them to politely ask him to leave since they had seen a lot of him. This was to provoke him to get out there on his own so that he could even get a real job. The university also gave Ian a parting gift of a doctorate in physics as a result of his radio galaxies research. He then moved to New Mexico as soon as he was done with his thesis. To his surprise when he got to New Mexico he landed in the hands of people who were more than willing to hire him regardless of Ian feeling he did not have any useful skills to offer. Later in 2005, he attended the Clarion. Ian Tregillis is the author of over 13 books across 5 series.
