ⓘ About Greta Thunberg

About Greta Thunberg Greta Thunberg is a respected and well-known climate activist who began raising awareness on the need to take immediate action against climate change as a 15-year-old schoolgirl. Her calls for awareness soon began drawing international attention which ultimately led to the formation of her Skolstrejk för klimatet (“School strike for the climate”), and eventually a world-wide movement, with an estimated 1.4 million students in 112 countries taking part in her protests. In recognition of her work, Thunberg was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in March 2019, and later featured on the cover of the Time magazine at the age of 16.
