He became a promotion script-writer at Southern Television after which he was placed at research position before being a director. He was later sacked after Television South lost the ITV franchise. He then went into the full-time writing of novels thereafter. He directed and produced documentaries for ITV for about 20 years which earned him many national and international awards. Most of the documentaries he made were networked. He filmed “Seabed Wrecks of the Titanic as well as “The Bismarck” together with American Oceanographer, Bob Ballard. He profiled the Brighton Bomber before producing ITV’s version of Richard Branson’s almost fatal attempt to cross the Atlantic while using a balloon. He launched his writing career on the background of six-part drama commission for ITV: Rules of Enga. Graham Hurley is the author of over 46 books across 8 series. Their most famous work is the Publication Order of Wars Within / Spoils Of War Books series, which has garnered millions of readers worldwide.
