G. Neri is an American artist and author. He was born in Los Angeles. Before he became a published author, he worked in a variety of mediums. He was a producer of digital media, an animator and illustrator, a film maker, as well as one of the founding members of the anti-smoking Truth campaign. This author first got into the print with the publication of Chess Rumble, his free verse novella. It even won him an award! His novel Yummy earned him a Coretta Scott King literary honor. His books are realistic and relatable fiction and have done quite well. As a result, his novels have made it to multiple countries and have been translated into many different languages. He has also penned some picture books, titled Hello, I’m Johnny Cash and the book When Paul Met Artie.
