His love for entertainment proved too strong and he eventually went back to his roots, spending more time writing plays than actually pursuing engineering jobs. After a stint in advertising and following his marriage to a fashion correspondent from the United States by the names. Eric Ambler is the author of over 30 books across 8 series.
