Eoin Colfer

The Arctic Incident is the sequel to the best selling Artemis Fowl series. It starts at the Bay of Kola, where the Russian Mafiya have sank a ship and two members of the crew have found Artemis Fowl I. He's okay except for the fact that he's missing a leg and a fully functioning eye.

The best place to start is the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series, the earliest of Eoin Colfer's multi-book series: it opens with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (1979) and runs to 10 books across 1979–2018, ending with Secondary Phase (2018). Eoin Colfer's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Eoin Colfer has 96 books catalogued in this guide, published between 1979 and 2026. 66 of them belong to 16 named series — the largest being the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series with 10 books — and 30 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. Eoin Colfer's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (1979–2018, 10 books), Benny Shaw (1998–2001, 2 books) and Flyers Children (1999–2001, 3 books), plus 12 more.

This guide splits Eoin Colfer's 96 books into 16 named series and 30 titles that stand alone or appear only in collections: Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (10 books, 1979–2018); Artemis Fowl (8 books, 2001–2012); Andrew Donkin Graphic Novels (5 books, 2010–2026); Artemis Fowl: The Graphic Novels (4 books, 2007–2014); Flyers Children (3 books, 1999–2001), plus 11 further series.
