Deborah Raney is an American author that writes Christian fiction. Raney came to fame with ‘A Vow to Cherish’, her first novel which was adapted into a television film. +Biography Deborah Raney was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1955. She spent her childhood on a farm. The writing bug bit her pretty early on, and she remembers making the decision to become a writer. The author eventually made that dream a reality, winning accolades like the RITA Award and the National Reader’s Choice Award. The author’s path to that success wasn’t so straightforward, though. Raney’s desire to write was ignited when she encountered ‘Little House on the Prairie’, a series of novels written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. A student of Lyons High School in Kansas, Raney’s desire to pursue publishing follow. Deborah Raney is the author of over 48 books across 15 series.
