Dan Waddell is a published British author and journalist. Today, he resides in West London. He is known for his many works of not only fiction but non-fiction as well. This extends to the ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ guide to being a family tree detective, which was directly inspired by the BBC Television series by the same name. His first fictional work was The Blood Detective. The crime novel was nominated for three awards, which also included the CWA New Blood Dagger. The book has been released in five different countries and likely will extend to more. Dan Waddell is also the son of Sid Waddell, a commentator on darts and the person from whom he learned to never let the truth to get in the way of telling a good story.
