D.L. Hughley is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and author. The group toured all over the country and had a highly successful film called The Original Kings of Comedy that was directed by Spike Lee. Hughley was one of the four comedians along with Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, and Bernie Mac. Hughley was born in Los Angeles in 1963 as Darryl Lynn Hughley. He grew up in South Central Los Angeles and as a teen he was a member of the street gang, the Bloods.
