About Cressida McLaughlin

Cressida grew up surrounded by books in her South East London home and this was the biggest driver for her later becoming an author. Growing up, Cressida McLaughlin remembers that her house was always full of all manner of books. In fact, her first memory is that of sitting on her bed while her father showed her The Wind in the Willows picture book. She would then read Harriet Evans’ “A Hopeless Romantic” and Sophie Kinsella’s “Twenty Girls” among other women’s fiction works. She has said that she loved how the novels made her feel emotional, as they were swooningly and beautifully romantic. Afterward, she made the decision to pen similar books.
