Cheryl Bolen

When she is not writing her novels, she loves reading about dead English women, traveling to England, and watching the UT Longhorns. While it does seem like she achieved success really fast, nothing could be further from the truth. Cheryl Bolen was driven to pen historical romances set in the Regency era after the fourth manuscript she had written won many contests but publishers refused to publish it.

The best place to start is The Brides of Bath series, the earliest of Cheryl Bolen's multi-book series: it opens with To Take This Lord / An Improper Proposal (2004) and runs to 8 books across 2004–2022, ending with The Wallflower’s Christmas Wish (2022). Cheryl Bolen's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Cheryl Bolen has 57 books catalogued in this guide, published between 2004 and 2026. 42 of them belong to 9 named series — the largest being The Brides of Bath series with 8 books — and 15 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.
