Cassie Hayes

Cassie Hayes is a bestselling author of historical western, historical fiction, and romance novels. She has said that she grew up pretending to be Laura Ingalls when she lived in the Oregon farm country. She published “The Beginning,” which is the debut novel of the “Gold Rush Brides” series of novels in 2014 and has never looked back since.

The best place to start is The Dalton Brides series, the earliest of Cassie Hayes's multi-book series: it opens with The Escape (2014) and runs to 9 books across 2014–2016, ending with The Marshal's Rebellious Bride (2016). Cassie Hayes's other series stand alone, so they can be read in any order.

Cassie Hayes has 100 books catalogued in this guide, published between 2014 and 2022. 98 of them belong to 5 named series — the largest being the Mail Order Mounties series with 26 books — and 2 are standalone titles, collections or anthologies.

Read each series in publication order — the numbered entries in each series follow the year each book first appeared. Cassie Hayes's series do not depend on one another, so they can be started in any order; by start date they are The Dalton Brides (2014–2016, 9 books), Gold Rush Brides (2014, 2 books) and Mail Order Mounties (2017–2018, 26 books), plus 1 more.

This guide splits Cassie Hayes's 100 books into 5 named series and 2 titles that stand alone or appear only in collections: Mail Order Mounties (26 books, 2017–2018); Roberts of Silver Springs (10 books, 2017); The Dalton Brides (9 books, 2014–2016); Gold Rush Brides (2 books, 2014); American Mail-Order Brides (51 books, 2015–2017).
