Cadwell Turnbull is a science fiction novelist best known for his debut novel “The Lesson.” He went to North Carolina State University from where he got his MA in Linguistics and a Creative Writing MFA. He was brought up in the US Virgin Islands and lived all over the place ever since he went to college. He got his bachelors from Pittsburgh’s La Roche University which is where he met Anju, his wife. Soon after graduation he went back home and for a time taught high school English before he went on to teach English as a Second Language in South Korea. After coming back to the US he served on Americorps and then proceeded to grad school at North Carolina.
