C.L Polk is a fantasy, romance and fiction author best known for Witchmark, the debut novel in The King Cycle series. The Nebula Award Best Novel nominated her for her book, Witchmark. The author was voted for The Calculating Stars Award as the Best Science fiction in the semifinal round in the 2018 Goodreads Choice Awards. Polk wrote her first story while in grade school and after doing odd occupations and traveling around western Canada, she settled in Alberta with Otis, her rescue dog.
