Brandon Barr was an American published author and a best selling writer of fiction. He is known to many for his series Song of the Worlds. Barr grew up in southern California. He first got into writing stories at an early age. He was twelve years old at the time and that happened to be the same year that he read Jurassic Park for the first time. When he was in college for his senior year, he received an assignment in creative writing that would end up restarting his initial passion for writing. Barr did not turn to writing novels at first. This is partly due to the fact that he thought that short stories were more his style. In addition, Ray Bradbury was one of his largest inspirations and is known for his short stories.
