Bob Morris is an American novelist. He specializes in writing Caribbean themed mystery novels and is a former writer and columnist for the Florida newspaper the Orlando Sentinel. He comes from four generations of Florida family residents and left the family farm to pursue journalism. He has traveled extensively and has even worked in a farming commune in Israel after giving up on becoming a marine biologist. He graduated from the University of Florida. In addition to working at the Sentinel, he was written for the Fort Myers News-Press, the Florida Keys Free Press, and the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group. Morris is known for founding a parade in Orlando, Queen Kumquat Sashay, which ran from 1986 to 1997.
