Bill Harlow is an author, Retired Navy Captain, and public relations specialist. He was born May 30, 1950, and both of his parents were veterans of the United States Navy. He was the assistant Press Secretary in the White House for National Security and Foreign Affairs during the H.W. Bush and Reagan administrations. If any reporters had even a glimmer of a story, Harlow would help him get things right, while denying anything that was untrue. He was able to get his message across, and also gave reporters material they could use in their pieces. He traveled around the world with two Presidents. He assisted setting up summit meetings and dealt with the media interest on some highly newsworthy events from modern times, such as: first Gulf War and communism’s fall.
