Before becoming a full-time author, Williams worked and lived in London and New York, where she worked as a communication strategy specialist. It was at these jobs that she concealed her first literary works on company laptops. Williams eventually left this career track to focus more on her writing. She now resides close to the Connecticut shore with her husband and their four children. She enjoys visiting her in-laws in Old Lyme, which is on Long Island Sound and boasts several stunning beaches as well as a traditional New England town center. Her mother-in-law’s family has also spent many summers in Sea Bright at the northern tip of the New Jersey Shore, and this is now a favorite for Williams and her family.
