Anthony Marra is an award-winning and bestselling literary fiction author from California. The author was born in Washington DC but in his adult years, he lived and studied all over the United States and Europe. He is the winner of the Narrative Prize, the Pushcart Prize, and the Whiting Award. The author penned his debut work “A Constellation of Vital Phenomena” in 2014 and the work went on to win several awards including the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award in 2014 and the John Leonard Prize. Marra has also won fellowships from the likes of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. Marra’s work has also been featured in The Best American Non-Required Reading Anthology. In 2017, he made the best American novelists by Granta list and won the Simpson Prize and $50,000 in 2
