Alan Gratz is a well known American author of the young adult genre. He was born on January 27, 1972 in Knoxville, Tennessee and was brought up in his home of the World’s Fair of 1982 in Knoxville. His childhood was quite carefree and humid, after which he joined the University of Tennessee and earned his College Scholars degree. He specialized in the subject of creative writing and later went on to pursue a Master’s degree in English education. Other than writing novels and plays for magazines, Alan also teaches the art of catapult building to middle school students. He has written over 6,000 commercials for radio and has also sold other people’s books. Alan Gratz has also had the opportunity to give a lecture at the Czech University.
